The 2009 BET Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, June 28, 2009. While the show was much anticipated with the announcement of a tribute to Michael Jackson, many fans on Facebook and Twitter expressed disappointment in the overall rushed and last minute tribute.
